Underwriter – Garage Program
Position Overview:
Our client is an MGA responsible for underwriting franchised auto dealer package insurance. Our Dallas based, national program is fast paced and growing. Underwriter will evaluate submissions, determine best coverage and deductible options, provide quotes, approve binders, and policies for issuance. Professional and timely communication is very important. Works closely with Agencies to provide best in class service to the program’s producers.
We are looking for a decisive person who can represent the program professionally, and who has the potential to grow with us.
Responsibilities:
- Manages a book of new and renewal Franchised Auto, RV, Powersport, Motorcycle, Powersport and Truck Dealer garage insurance policies
- Responsible for evaluation, selection, pricing, quoting and binding of policies within assigned geographical area
- Underwrites and manages both new and renewal accounts
- Works closely with Agencies who will perform application gathering and data entry of application information, and assist in communications
- Oversees the quality of the information entered by the Agencies
- Interacts with Agencies to foster strong relationships, in a manner that promotes the program
- Selects appropriate rates, coverage, and terms based on Underwriting Guidelines
- Works within authority level, with limited supervision
- Provides periodic reports on outcomes for assigned territory
- Continuously seeks process improvements
Experience
- 5 plus years of underwriting experience
- Commercial auto underwriting experience in auto liability, general liability, and property
- Understanding of franchised auto dealer operations

Reporting Analyst
Position Overview
The Reporting Analyst supports the business units by delivering reporting, system configuration, and analytical solutions that drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements, translate needs into technical solutions, and support both existing and new insurance programs.
The Reporting Analyst will contribute to projects of small to medium size with appropriate guidance and mentorship.
Job Description:
- Support project management activities for internal systems and process improvements
- Assist with data migration and data validation efforts
- Gather, document, and refine business requirements from underwriting and operational teams
- Support management of software development efforts with third-party vendors
- Contribute to project planning, task tracking, and milestone coordination
- Participate in RFP processes for new software solutions as needed
- Perform underwriting, operational, and financial analysis using internal and external data sources
- Develop and maintain SQL queries for reporting, data exports, and ad hoc analysis
- Build intuitive reports and visualizations for business users and leadership
- Configure and administer systems for existing and new insurance programs
- Support troubleshooting, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Technical Specifications to ensure clarity, repeatability, and proper system documentation
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as directed by management.
Required Job Qualifications:
- Experience working with databases, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Background in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience using SQL for querying and reporting
- Experience in the insurance industry
- Exposure to Salesforce or Insurance Management Systems (IMS)
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure ecosystem (e.g., Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, Power Apps)
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Experience with Visual Basic for Applications
